Empowering Qatar’s Youth with Nama: Business w Gahwa & Mulhimeen Series

Innovation Streams partnered with Nama Center, a key initiative under the Ministry of Social Development and Family, to design and execute a unique program aimed at inspiring Qatar’s youth and garnering an entrepreneurial spirit. By combining workshops and inspirational talks, the Business w Gahwa and Mulhimeen series provided a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to connect with seasoned business leaders, gain insights into their journeys, and learn practical strategies to navigate the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Qatar.

Curating the Plan: Speakers and Themes

The success of this initiative began with meticulous planning. Innovation Streams worked closely with Nama Center to develop a program that resonated with Qatar’s youth, focusing on speakers and topics that would inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs. The goal was to feature individuals who had made significant contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape in Qatar, whose stories could both educate and motivate.

  • Speaker Selection: The lineup of speakers was carefully curated to include notable figures such as Ramzan Al Naimi, Rasha Al Sulaiti, Hamad Al Hajri, and Mohammed Al Delaimi. Each speaker brought unique insights and experiences, covering a range of industries and challenges.

  • Youth-Focused Themes: The content was designed to address topics relevant to young, aspiring entrepreneurs, including overcoming obstacles, identifying market opportunities, and the importance of resilience in the face of challenges.

This deliberate approach ensured that the sessions not only attracted a large audience but also delivered impactful, actionable takeaways.

Execution

Innovation Streams successfully executed 3 Ride & Pitch competitions, each uniquely themed to target various groups, including university students and startup founders:

  1. Participant Preparation: We provided pre-event workshops and mentorship sessions to refine participants’ pitches, helping them craft impactful and concise presentations.
  2. Dynamic Pitch Environment: During the competition, participants pitched their ideas while the tram moved, creating a dynamic and challenging atmosphere that tested their adaptability and confidence.
  3. Judging & Feedback: Panels of expert judges, including industry leaders, provided immediate feedback, encouraging participants to iterate and improve their ideas.

These competitions showcased diverse innovations, from tech startups to sustainable solutions, and provided participants with exposure to experienced mentors and investors.

The Series: Business w Gahwa & Mulhimeen

The Business w Gahwa and Mulhimeen series were designed as interactive and engaging sessions that combined practical workshops with inspirational talks. Over the course of 10 sessions, these events attracted over 500 participants, creating a space for meaningful dialogue and skill development.

  1. Business w Gahwa:
This concept brought together aspiring entrepreneurs in a relaxed, informal setting to discuss the realities of starting and scaling a business. Participants were encouraged to engage directly with speakers, creating a deeper connection and understanding of their journeys.

  2. Mulhimeen:
Translating to “Inspirers,” this series of talks showcased the stories of accomplished entrepreneurs who overcame challenges and seized opportunities to build successful ventures. The speakers’ stories served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible through hard work, creativity, and determination.

Each session concluded with a dedicated Q&A segment and networking opportunities, ensuring participants could gain personalized insights and build connections that extended beyond the event.
